Due to the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic and the extensive amount of preparation time to make Camp Chmepa a valuable and safe experience, we had to make the difficult choice to cancel for summer of 2022. We regret this decision, but the safety of our campers and those who we serve is our first priority.
Camp Chmepa is a fun, interactive experience for children ages 7-15 who are grieving the death of someone close. It is intended to help children understand that they are not alone in their grief and that having fun is also part of healing. Thanks to generous donations from our community, we are able to offer this unique three-day camping experience at no charge to the families.
