What Patients & Families Say About Us

“Your services were a blessing during our mother’s last days, making her passing comfortable, dignified and peaceful. We will always be grateful for your staff’s kindness, understanding and guidance through a difficult part of life.” ~Daughter of a Hospice House resident

“When we signed on with you I had no sense of who and what you were. You took charge immediately, handled the medication, provided equipment and personnel, nursed her injuries, eased our fears and gave us comfort. After several days [her nurse] determined that she needed 24/7 care and provided a place at the ‘House.’ What a gift that was. And without it, the final week would have been a nightmare.” ~Husband of a client

"We are so immensely pleased with the excellent care you folks showed our grieving children. You are all truly angels." ~Grandparent of a Camp Chmepa camper

Comfort, Dignity, Peace of Mind

Hospice of Spokane is Northeast Washington’s only nonprofit hospice serving Spokane, Ferry, Stevens and Pend Oreille counties. Hospice care is a holistic approach to end-of-life care, addressing the medical, emotional, psychological and spiritual needs of the terminally ill person and their loved ones.

Hospice of Spokane was among the first hospices in the country and has served the Greater Spokane area since 1977. We are nationally recognized as experts in helping people handle end-of-life issues with grace, dignity, comfort, and peace of mind. We have the comprehensive knowledge, reputation, and trust of our community that only comes from decades of experience and dedication to providing the highest quality care to people like you.

Hospice of Spokane cares for anyone of any age with any terminal condition. The elderly patient with heart disease or emphysema. The middle-aged parent with cancer or kidney disease. The infant suffering from a congenital disorder. The survivors whose lives are shaken by loss and grief. Anyone can refer a person to Hospice of Spokane. Individuals are eligible for hospice care if their life expectancy is six months or less and they no longer desire life-prolonging treatments.

Our team focuses on ensuring your comfort and supporting your quality of life. From delivering specialized care right in your home day or night, to around-the-clock phone support and grief counseling for family members, we are here for you. The sooner Hospice of Spokane is able to begin caring for you, the more time you will have to receive the full benefit of our compassionate presence.
