Our Community’s #1 Choice in Hospice Care

Our Commitment to our Community

Hospice of Spokane is committed to quality end-of-life care and to respecting the dignity of all persons in our community.  Our team members are committed to providing culturally-competent care through listening, learning and honoring each person whom we have the privilege to serve.  This care is an integral part of our training.

Now more than ever, we embrace this commitment.  We celebrate diversity within our community and strive to create a workforce that is as diverse as the community we serve.  Ensuring access to quality end-of-life care to everyone is of utmost importance to us as is our commitment to honoring the dignity and worth of every person, whether they are patients, family, team members or community members.

An Introduction to Hospice of Spokane

Hospice of Spokane is northeast Washington’s long-standing nonprofit hospice, serving Spokane, Ferry, Stevens and Pend Oreille counties.  Using a holistic approach to end-of-life care, hospice addresses the medical, emotional, psychological and spiritual needs of patients with terminal illness, along with support to their families.

Hospice of Spokane cares for anyone of any age in whatever setting they call home.  This may be a private residence, assisted-living or skilled-nursing home, adult family home, hospital, or in either of our two hospice houses. Our team of physicians, nurses, nurse aides, social workers, chaplains, volunteers and other professionals focus on putting the patient’s needs first, while ensuring patient comfort and supporting quality of life. From delivering specialized care day or night, to around-the-clock phone support and grief counseling for family members, we are here for our patients, their families and our community.
